Let Them Fly

In Person

Welcome to #LetThemFly! We are the Amnesty International Dublin Central group, campaigning to lift the travel ban on Saudi Arabian human rights activists. Join our fight by writing a message of solidarity on origami paper planes. We will then deliver them to the Saudi Arabian embassy.

Amnesty International has launched the campaign #LetThemFly to lift the travel bans on several Saudi Arabian human rights defenders (HRDs). Travel bans significantly affect their lives, causing them to lose educational/professional/healthcare opportunities and the right to protection abroad. Expat HRDs avoid returning to their own country for fear of reprisal; thus, they struggle emotionally as they are forcibly torn away from their families. Together we can pressure Saudi Arabian authorities to end the punitive and vindictive use of travel bans immediately and fully respect the rights to freedom of expression and movement.
Come along to write messages in support of Saudi HRDs and help us to let them fly again!
