The Old Guardhouse During the Civil War

Come by the Old Guardhouse at Griffith Barracks and hear the story of what took place within these grounds during the Civil War. You will hear a first-hand account of Sighle Humphreys’ detention in the Barracks, stand on the site of a 1922 gun attack on the parade ground and explore the historic rooms, now beautifully refurbished and used as a children’s library.
