Visit the heart of Spain from the Spanish language and cultural centre, Instituto Cervantes.
In this tour offered by Blanca Valencia, you will visit the Royal Palace kitchens, the food in El Prado Museum, and Alambique, Madrid’s oldest cooking school and shop. You’ll go to the city’s historic restaurants and taverns, as well as some of the novels in which they appear. You will also discover the most iconic food shops and the lesser known markets, as well as cover the most emblematic meals, such as cocido and callos a la madrileña. For a better understanding of Latin America’s influence, you will visit shops and marketplaces as well as the cultural centre Casa de Mexico and some top-notch Peruvian restaurants. A glass of wine and small tapas will be served during this event. Limited places.

From 6pm, take a Spanish Taster Lesson , to get a flavour of our general courses for beginners and experience how our classes can help students gain confidence whilst having fun learning the language. From 7pm, get a taste of our conversation courses for intermediate students and experience how our classes can help learners gain confidence whilst having fun improving their spoken Spanish. Lessons are 45 minutes, book in advance as there are limited places.

Are you interested in theatre and acting? The Instituto Cervantes in Dublin, language and cultural centre in Ireland, invites you to participate in a workshop in Spanish where Sandra Villegas, the director of the Cervantes Dublin Theatre Club, will show how the theatre sessions are developed. A unique opportunity to practice your skills, learn to modulate your voice and become aware of body movements. Discover the ins and outs of the theatre while having fun. Places limited to 16. If you are interested in Spanish-Irish literature and connections, the Instituto Cervantes in Dublin, Spanish language and cultural centre in Ireland, invites you to a meeting with three Hispanic authors based in Ireland and two Irish writers who have written about Spain. Discover their five most recent publications and chat with them after the presentation of their work.
