Questlove’s acclaimed directorial debut transports us back to this extraordinary gathering – rediscovering incredible performances from, among others, Stevie Wonder, Sly and the Family Stone, Gladys Knight & the Pips and Nina Simone.
Much more than just a music documentary, Summer of Soul reflects on the Vietnam War, the assassinations of Malcom X and Martin Luther King, the Moon Landing and the Black Panthers’ movement. It is a glorious celebration of Black history and culture, punctuated by some truly uplifting musical performances.

An concert of Icelandic minimalism from the acclaimed Dublin ensemble, featuring music by Jóhann Jóhannsson, Ólafur Arnalds, Björk, Sigur Rós and Hildur Guðnadóttir.
Glasshouse are a music ensemble and production organisation based in Dublin, presenting concerts as a group and commission new work by Irish artists. They create unique live experiences in singular locations.

This annual collection of short films for those aged 8+ is a mix of animation styles and content that promises something for everyone. At times madcap, at other times very serious, there is no predicting where we will travel next. This year we have stories from Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands and more than a couple from France but each brings an element of the universal – even to those of us who have never been stuck on a runaway tram in Lisbon…
Note: only one of the films has dialogue, and that one comes with handy subtitles for those of us who don’t speak Lithuanian.
