The event will include a display of paintings by a Taiwanese artist, an exhibition of English and Chinese language poems featuring both Irish and Taiwanese poems, as well as an exhibit displaying the Chinese translation of James Joyce’s “Ulysses“.
Also featured on the night will be two Irish poets who will read their work in English and Irish, and a Taiwanese poet to read the Chinese translations. The Taipei Representative Office hopes that this portion of the event will allow attendees to appreciate and experience the different qualities and charms of the three separate languages.
A selection of wines, beers, soft drinks and snacks will be provided on the night.
