The success of Culture Night Dublin hinges on the support of our incredible team of volunteers. Our volunteers are assigned to a variety of exciting events on the night – from assisting at one of our many outdoor events, supervising our specially curated walking tour programme or accompanying the artists performing across the city on Dublin Bus. With a diverse programme planned throughout the city this year on Friday, 22 September, we are seeking a range of diverse individuals to fill two different volunteer roles:

– Event Ambassador

– Photography / Social Media Volunteer

Volunteering allows people to contribute to their local cultural scene, and is a great way to meet new people, make contacts in your field of interest, as well as form lasting friendships. Get involved and build your skills by experiencing something totally new at Culture Night Dublin this year.

Round 1 Applications Deadline: Monday, 21 August 5pm.

Event Ambassador

This is an exciting opportunity for a friendly, reliable team player. A geographical knowledge of Dublin City and familiarity with local arts and cultural institutions is desirable.

Expectations of the volunteer:

– Acting as an ambassador for Culture Night Dublin

– Assisting with the organisation and distribution of Culture Night Dublin packs

– Assisting at ionformation points around the city

– Assisting with pre-festival work if necessary during weeks 28 August – 1 September & 18 – 22 September

– Ushering

Photography / Social Media Volunteer

Previous experience working in social media roles is desirable, but not necessary. Access to a smartphone is essential.

Expectations of the volunteer:

– Photography

– Videography/live streaming

– Content creation

– Visiting various sites throughout the day

– Event Ambassador duties as necessary

Anyone over the age of 18 is invited to apply for. Volunteers will be asked to work an average of five hours on the day of the event. There may also be volunteering opportunities in the days/weeks before the event.
