Culture Night Late has been created in response to the changing needs of the arts sector and in line with the government’s commitments outlined in the Report of the Night-Time Economy Taskforce (September 2021).

This open call seeks to build upon the success of the
2021 Culture Night pilot late night events, and recognises the distinctive need to develop and diversify the artistic and cultural offerings of the night-time economy, as outlined in Action Point 11 of the Report of the Night-Time Economy Taskforce.

Applicants may apply for funding between €15,000 and €20,000 for a regional flagship event. Funding awarded will be no more than 60% of the total event cost. To learn more about applying, download the call out here.

Culture Night Late is funded by the Arts Council.

Culture Night Dublin is looking for new, exciting, never-been-seen-before tours of Dublin for the 2022 programme. The definition of culture is very broad, so we welcome expressions of interest from as many perspectives as possible.

Do you have expertise on a subject that corresponds to a brilliant trail around Dublin? Do you know a part of the city inside and out? After a period of isolation and disconnect, we want to look at the city in a new way, and marvel at the stories it holds – both old and new!

Tour applications will open in May 2022.

Culture Night Dublin 2022 will take place on Friday, 23 September. As a night of entertainment, cultural discovery and adventure across the city, arts organisations, and cultural and historic houses open their doors until late, with hundreds of free events for all to enjoy.

Culture Night Dublin’s success hinges on the work of our amazing volunteers, who help stage events across the city. With a variety of outdoor events planned for this year’s programme on Friday, 23 September, we are seeking a range of diverse individuals to fill two different volunteer roles:

– Event Ambassador

– Social Media Volunteer

Volunteering with Culture Night Dublin allows people to contribute to their local cultural scene, and give back after what has been a challenging year. It is also a great way to meet new people, form friendships, make contacts in your field of interest and a chance to do something different!
